India Didactics Association congratulates all winners, special awardees and finalists of the first IDA Awards 2013. The ceremony was held on 12th Sept in Mumbai at the 5th Worlddidac India exhibition & conference – the only comprehensive event in India for educational and training resources.
The IDA Awards have been initiated for the very first time with the aim to recognize and celebrate products and solutions that demonstrate excellence in Innovation, Implementation, Impact, Sustainability and Scalability in the field of education and training. These awards provide an opportunity for industry recognition, for outstanding products and learning solutions.

The Fifth edition of WORLDDIDAC INDIA and ASIAN SUMMIT ON EDUCATION & SKILLS - country's Only Exhibition & Conference on Educational Material, Training and Technology based solutions for all levels & sectors, proved to be a grand success and ended as being the most productive three days of the year for the entire education & training fraternity.
The mega event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Sharda Prasad, Principal Adviser to the Chief Minister on Skill Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Guest of Honour, Shri S S Mantha, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), along with other eminent dignitaries from India and overseas, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India.
The 3-day event was partnered by India Didactics Association, Worlddidac Association (Switzerland), British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA - UK), DIDACTA (Germany); supported by NCERT and NIOS, the British Council, the Diamond Partner was Intel Technology, Technology Partner was Pearson Education and the Gold Partners were Extramarks Education, MEXUS and NComputing.

Dr. Obaidullah Obaid Minister of Higher Education of Afghanistan had a meeting with Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development, Dr. M.M. Pallam Raju on 22nd August, 2013. He had a discussion with the HRM on cooperation in higher education.
Dr. Obaidullah expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the assistance by the Government of India and by the Ministry of Human Resource Development for reconstruction and capacity development in Afghanistan. He also highlighted the initiatives like building up of schools, teacher training and capacity building and curriculum development etc., for Afghanistan. He also thanked the Government of India for different scholarships provided to the Afghan students. He also highlighted the fact that at present more than 5000 students are studying in Higher Education Institutions in India that is providing an immense capacity building support for the future generations of Afghanistan.
