India Didactics Association congratulates all winners, special awardees and finalists of the first IDA Awards 2013. The ceremony was held on 12th Sept in Mumbai at the 5th Worlddidac India exhibition & conference – the only comprehensive event in India for educational and training resources.

The IDA Awards have been initiated for the very first time with the aim to recognize and celebrate products and solutions that demonstrate excellence in Innovation, Implementation, Impact, Sustainability and Scalability in the field of education and training. These awards provide an opportunity for industry recognition, for outstanding products and learning solutions.

A panel of expert and eminent educationists, according to the IDA awards’ evaluation criteria mentioned above, has marked each nomination based on the evidence provided by the nominee. The evaluation and assessment process was strict and the judgment was made in all fairness with no scope of bias towards exhibitors.

The award night was a perfect blend of the corporate and entertainment world. The event commenced with a performance by a German band – Honky Tonk who were then joined in by the host of the event, for a fusion performance, with a Hindi version of the same song. This was followed by a performance of Deva Shree Ganesha from Agneepath by NJ Dance Group (Mumbai) and a stand- up comedy act by Schitzengiggles. Overall, it was a night full of surprises, celebration and excitement. The fact that not even the presenters knew who were winning the awards till they actually announced it set a great tone for the entire night.

The awards in total had eleven categories under which four categories had an added special award for those nominees who deserved a special mention. The eminent people who presented the awards include Dr. Rajesh Shenoy, Senate Member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Beat Jost, Director General, Worlddidac Association (Switzerland), ReinhardKoslitz, Managing Director, Didacta International ( Germany), Dominic Savage, Director General, BESA (UK), Prof. Dr. MultWassilios .E. Fthenakis, President, Worlddidac Association (Switzerland), and last but not the least, Aditya Gupta, CEO, India Didactics Association.

The winners of  IDA 2013 include, Pearson Education Services, Extramarks Education Pvt.Ltd, Designmate (I) Pvt. Ltd, Oxford University Press India, Christiani Sharpline Technical Training Ltd, NComputing India, Orkids, MEXUS Education Pvt. Ltd, Mentor Magazine, Spectrum, BarrierBreak Technologies, Popcorn Furniture, VLCC Healthcare Ltd, Fracton Technologies and Morphun Junior.

The night concluded with a celebratory atmosphere and overall it was a great success.
