The Fifth edition of WORLDDIDAC INDIA and ASIAN SUMMIT ON EDUCATION & SKILLS – country’s Only Exhibition & Conference on Educational Material, Training and Technology based solutions for all levels & sectors, proved to be a grand success and ended as being the most productive three days of the year for the entire education & training fraternity.

The mega event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Sharda Prasad, Principal Adviser to the Chief Minister on Skill Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Guest of Honour, Shri S S Mantha, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), along with other eminent dignitaries from India and overseas, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India.

The 3-day event was partnered by India Didactics Association, Worlddidac Association (Switzerland), British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA – UK), DIDACTA (Germany); supported by NCERT and NIOS, the British Council, the Diamond Partner was Intel Technology, Technology Partner was Pearson Education and the Gold Partners were Extramarks Education, MEXUS and NComputing.

The Exhibition served as a comprehensive platform for collaborating, exchanging, promoting, networking and sharing of the best practices and knowhow of the industry, collecting information on the latest products and technologies and much more. 

The WORLDDIDAC INDIA 2013 was welcomed and applauded magnanimously by all attendees, with eminent educationists, policy makers & industry representatives converging at the event. The international exhibition presented real-life solutions to all possible manner of changes in the Asian region, with a focus on the Indian Education & Training sector.

The invitee-based annual conference, Asian Summit on Education & Skills (ASES) 2013 took place concurrently, bringing together influential leaders and decision makers from across India and Asia, to create an unparalleled platform for exchange of dialogues on education & skill policy and implementation practices.

The theme of the summit was ‘Confronting Complexities for Effective Policy Implementation’. The summit brought together the policy makers and eminent educationists from all over India and other Asian countries. During the Summit, issues such as Symmetric regulation among Public & Private sector, Optimal Utilization of 21st Century Technology, and Developing sustainability through Partnerships & Collaborations were address to bridge the policy implementation gap.

During the summit, Shri. S S Mantha, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) said, “Several changes have been made in the past and various initiatives have been planned for the future to make a well-defined formal education system and making all courses more employable”.

The distinguished panel of speakers for the conference included key senior representatives from Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Labour, Government of India, Prime Minister’s National Council on Skill Development, The World Bank, The British Council, WorldDidac Association, British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA – UK), DIDACTA, AICTE, NIOS and many more.

This year, parallel Live Workshops (powered by IDA) were held at the event, which assisted in empowering teachers & trainers on various advancements in the education & training sector. The Workshops provided in-depth, hands-on exploration of topics to meet individual, school, faculty development and technology needs.

India Didactics Association launched the IDA Awards 2013 to reward the Contribution, Excellence & Achievement of companies and organizations in the field of Education & Training. The IDA Awards helped improve the Education and Training System by facilitating communication and sharing of best practices within and among organisations.
